ABOUT LAURA MCINTOSH
Through Laura’s experiences she has developed a great understanding of what it takes to excel at some of the highest levels of women’s hockey. It is these experiences that enable her to teach both fundamental and advanced hockey skills. She is excited to share her knowledge of the game with the future generation of female hockey.
– Member in the Hockey Canada Program from 2008-2012
- Member of Canada’s Under-18 National Team 2008 (Competed in the first ever IIHF U-18 Worlds, won a Silver Medal)
- Member of Canada’s U-22 National Team from 2010-2012 (Gold at MECO Cup)
– Attended The Ohio State University on a full scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology and Physical Education
- All time Ohio State leading scorer with 170 points (123 Assists, 47 Goals)
– Served as an Assistant Captain and Co-Captain at Ohio State
- Played with Team Ontario U18’s from 2005-2008 competing in two Nationals and one Canada Winter Games (Two Gold Medals)
– Received the Most Sportsmanlike at U18 Nationals in Kitchener
- Member of the WCHA All Star team (Played against USA Olympic team 2010)
– Competed in Canada Summer Games playing Softball with Team Ontario in 2009 (Silver Medal)
– Played in the CWHL with the Brampton Thunder 2012-2014 (was drafted in 2012)
– Has played alongside past and present female hockey stars Natalie Spooner (Ohio State), Jayna Hefford, Lori Dupuis, Cherie Piper, and Gillian Apps (Brampton Thunder)
– Assistant Coach of the Wilfrid Laurier University Women’s Varsity Hockey Team
