Prep Camp goaltending coach and consultant Laurent Brossoit made his NHL debut last month, starting in net for the Edmonton Oilers. Laurent posted an outstanding performance, turning aside 49 of 51 shots despite losing 3-1 against the San Jose Sharks. Since being drafted by Calgary in 2011 and then part of a deal with Edmonton, Laurent has played in the ECHL and the AHL, where he and the Oklahoma City Barons are now making their playoff push for the Calder Cup.
Prep Camp would like to congratulate him on his impressive NHL debut and wishes him the best of luck in the next round of playoffs. From Port Alberni, Laurent brings a wealth of goaltending experience and knowledge with him over his career. Alongside fellow coaches Lynden Sammartino and Brady Robinson, goaltending coach of the WHL Victoria Royals, we are excited to have him back with us at Prep Camp this summer!
