Officials Development Camp led by Brad Lazarowich

Exposure at our Officials Development Camps give participants the training, support, and exposure they need to access next level opportunities from the BCEHL, CSSHL, BCHL, WHL, and beyond!

We offer 2 weeks of co-ed Officials Development Camps open to committed officials ages 15+. Programming in both camps is identical and led by 1900+ NHL game veteran and Lead Officials Instructor, Brad Lazarowich. Much of the learning takes place through implementation of concepts, practice, and real time feedback during live games. 

One of the highlights of attending our Officials Development Camps is the opportunity to learn from one of the most experienced and knowledgeable officials in the sport of hockey in Brad Lazarowich. 

Brad is one of the longest-serving officials in NHL history. He began officiating in the NHL in 1986 and worked 1,971 games before retiring in 1986. His career highlights include:

• 3 Stanley Cup Finals Assignments
• Worked game 7 of the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals (Anaheim v.s. New Jersey)
• 2 World Cup of Hockey Assignments
• Worked the 1996 NHL All-Star Game
• 16 years in the NHL Officials Association
• 2017 Inductee into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame

Since retiring from the NHL, Brad has continued in his work with hockey officiating, now helping  in the development and oversight of the next generation of talent. His current roles in the sport include:

• NHL Officiating Manager
• CSSHL Officiating & Discipline Coordinator 
• BCHL Director of Officiating & Player Safety
