I have had  the honour and privilege through my life in hockey to visit some pretty unique places to share the game of hockey.  One of our annual stops is Queenstown, New Zealand where we assist with  local player development and coaching mentorship.  Through our unique relationships in Queenstown, in 2012 we were able to attract 4 extraordinary athletes from New Zealand to the West Coast Hockey Prep Camp.  Callum Burns, Harrison & Max Macharg, and Ben Harford have all had to travel the globe in search of great competition and new hockey experiences.  As Bantam players in 2012, Harrison and Ben even turned the heads of Kelowna Rockets WHL Scout, and Prep Camp supporter, Scott Morgan.

Today we celebrate the boys’ most recent International success.  Callum, Ben, and Harrison have all made the New Zealand U18 Ice Hockey Team for Div 3 World Champs in Bulgaria in March 2014.  We wish them all the best.  To learn more about the IIHF and how the divisions work around the world, including the tournament featuring these Prep Camp Alumni, please click here.
