Local Celebrity Coach Rich Chernomaz Confirms Week 2

We were thrilled to get the call this morning from Germany.  Rich Chernomaz, who makes Port Alberni home in the summer, confirmed attendance in Week 2, and will be with us  July 22-24.  I pinch myself when I realize Rich, and NHL veteran coaches Mike Johnston (Vancouver, LA) and Marc Crawford (Canucks, LA) will be leading our on ice alongside many other great coaches.  Click here for the most up to date list (more coming soon).  Rich will be joined by his assistant coach, and Prep Camp veteran coach Tim Kehler, also just confirmed today.  I’ve confided with many parents over the past few years that from my perch above both ice surfaces I get a great view of the quality practices being conducted.  When I look out and see guys like Rich, Marc, and Mike in charge, I sometimes chuckle and think how lucky I am to be part of something so much bigger than myself.  Isnt’ that what most of us are searching for though?  To be a part of something great?

Due to the momentum being built around camp over the past few years, many of our groups are completely full.  Lucky for many of you, Week 2 does still have a few roster spots in all categories, although some as few as 3.
