Tardif, Lindores, Fitzgeralds, Bleuler Reach Milestones!
We get excited every time we hear about our campers achieving their goals throughout the season. Here are a couple great achievements we want to share with you this week (please send us updates on your kids!).
Celine Tardif:
I watched first year player Celine Tardif in the UBC home opener against the University of Saskatchewan 2 weeks ago, and she was awesome! Playing on the top D pairing with captain Sarah Casorso, Celine plays all the tough minutes, PP, PK, and overtime. She had 2 assists that night too, and has 4 assists in 3 games! To see Celine thriving under coaches Thomas, Sommer, Bilko, and Metz (all Prep Camp coaches), makes us very proud of Celine and the whole crew at UBC.
Robert Lindores:
On the Mens’ team at UBC, long time Prep Camper and staff member Robert Lindores scored his first CIS goal this week against #1 ranked Mount Royal University. Robert transferred to UBC this year after 2 years at the University of Northern Michigan University (NCAA Div I). Robert was recruited by UBC Head Coach Tyler Kuntz (Prep Camp Coach).
Myles, Gerry & Leo Fitzgerald:
Lindores, and these 3 triplet superstars from Port Alberni have been at Prep Camp longer than any of the current directors! All 3 brothers are playing at Bemidgi State University (NCAA Div I) this year, and on October 10th Myles scored his first NCAA goal, assisted by brother Gerry on the power play. It won’t be long until gifted Leo joins them on the score sheet. I am sure if I ask Myles or Gerry, they will tell me the goal wouldn’t have happened without some amazing work by Leo that didn’t get him on the score sheet!
Zach Bleuler:
Zach has been with us many years as well, and officially made the move from the North Van Wolf Pack to the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL Junior A this week. Congrats Zach, your hard work is paying off!
We want to hear from you campers! There are currently 100+ alumni from last summer playing Junior B or higher, and we know there are lots more. I just need the time to research. MML players need to be celebrated too, so let me know where you are playing!
