The Referee Development Camp at the West Coast Hockey Prep Camp attracts officials passionate about their craft. It has never been easier to find world class hockey training you can rely on. Our dedicated team cares about every player.

Players and coaches from around the world descend on camp year after year for the life experience, development opportunity, and network. Team Prep Camp is like a family. Day 1 of camp each week, a reunion for many. High performance players and coaches building careers in the game often credit their experience and networking as camp as integral in their success. We offer high performance hockey development and exposure camps for elite male and female players, goalie camps run by some of the best goalie coaches in the game, and one of North America’s only referee development camps where officials can officiate games from U13 to Junior level hockey, run by an NHL record setting official. Families book accommodation in the beautiful Alberni Valley, Sproat Lake, and surrounding areas a year in advance, before they even leave camp. That speaks volumes for the family experience, our positive impact on the high performance hockey community, and the impact on tourism our camp generates in the region.
